KUALA LUMPUR (July 4): The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) aerotrain service, which restarted just three days ago, was stopped for over an hour on Friday after heavy rain caused water to build up in the tunnel due to a broken drainage pump.

Malaysia Airports (MAHB) said in a statement the problem began at 11:00am after a drainage pump broke down. The pump helps stop flooding during heavy rains, and due to the fault, the aerotrain service was shut down. “As a safety precaution, train operations were suspended until the water was manually cleared and the tracks were confirmed safe for use,” MAHB said.

Service resumed at 12.15pm upon receiving clearance from the technical and safety teams. The airport operator added that repair works are underway to rectify the faulty pump and ensure optimal performance during future rain events.

Despite the temporary suspension, passenger movement between the main and satellite terminals remained uninterrupted, as airside shuttle buses were deployed to maintain connectivity.

MAHB added that its technical teams are closely monitoring the aerotrain system during these early operational stages to ensure timely adjustments where needed.

The newly upgraded KLIA aerotrain — which has served as the airport’s main internal transport system since its launch in 1998 — resumed operations on July 1, after being suspended in March 2023 due to a system breakdown. The new aerotrain set consists of three carriages, can carry up to 270 passengers per trip, and offers enhanced service quality.

The experience of Geometry Dash is musical. Nearly all of the challenges are timed to the beat of the song. Close your eyes and pay attention to the beat if you are having trouble with a challenging passage; it frequently indicates when to click. geometry dash

Thank you for sharing this insightful update on the KLIA aerotrain interruption! It’s fascinating how weather events like heavy rain can impact transportation, just as I found with monkey mart—the unpredictability of both contexts reminds us to always be adaptable.
